We decided to re-brand the “Center for Religious Life” and change it to “The Gobal Center." This encompasses our goal to reach every student at RIT. Now it no longer excludes non-religious people, who previously assumed they were not welcome. This space can be used for any event and is now welcoming and cultured!

PROJECT BRIEF
Web & Society: Considering Context
Web & UX Design | Junior level | RIT
Building on your basic RWD and UX research skills and working with a team, together you will research, design and build a context-specific mobile-first interactive experience that enhances or augments one’s sense of place. You will propose a theme (and content) for your experience based on a community location that you research and document. Your team’s design approach can incorporate time-based information, propose alternative uses or business models, or wildly re-imagine the existing location through the lens of a mobile/responsive experience.
Joe says:
I have always thought it would be interesting to have content change based on location. On executing that, I have never thought of how. So, in that respect, everything was new and my perceptions were constantly changing. It was a lot of role-playing and psychological thinking trying to imagine what someone would need at a certain time and a certain place. It took a lot of effort and was draining, but it was really interesting work.
As the Global Center, the Interfaith Center will transform to encompass culture and a slice of life in addition to just religion
