What happens to the cleaning products you wash down the drain? A 2011 study out of the UK proposed that around 2 billion tons of soap, shampoo, and household cleaners are washed down drains yearly. Equivalent of 14 billion barrels of oil. Enter Redefine Clean, a tool to help users take responsibility for what is washed down the drain.

Advanced Web & UX Design | Senior level | RIT
This project will be completely defined by your audience research and pursuant communication goals. Experiential and interactive media might include: activity, game, package, social media campaign, web, interactive space, or a combination of these approaches. Your number one objective is to share your outcome/intervention with the campus community to affect behavior change, whether through user testing, exhibit, implementation, or some other means you devise. Collaboration in this project is also incredibly important—you will be exchanging not only critique, but also ideas, concepts, styles and maybe even files with your partners in Qatar!
Ann says:
Toxic ingredients found in cleaning supplies not only become water pollution but also expose humans to harmful chemicals. This app helps users to evaluate their cleaning and beauty products and to find healthier, cheaper, and more ecofriendly solutions. App users are able to scan the barcodes of cleaning products to build a list of their current usage. This list is evaluated and replacement products and ideas are suggested (if needed). Ratings are based off independent scientific information about the health and environmental impact of each product.
